Great video, if a bit sinister, @bbcmusic but why the long face ?

So why rip up all of the countryside and kill all of the wildlife. Looking at the daily carnage around Barnsley is upsetting and stressful. Why would anyone allow this to happen?

    9. At this point the government’s failure to deal with this virus is down to a lack of political will and foresight. Investment, leadership, education and a community response have worked elsewhere. Optimism and common sense less so.

    8. We knew most of the things needed to beat this virus by April 2020. Some truths, such as airborne transmission, were resisted for reasons that will probably emerge at the public inquiry.

    6. And the government needs to stop humouring fringe nuts who peddle anti-science nonsense that frankly has no place in the modern world. That includes cranks in its own party. The stakes are too high. We can’t afford to keep making such deadly and costly mistakes.

    5. If we want the experiment of ‘living with the virus’ to succeed we need to be honest and arm people with the tools needed to do so.

    4. Instead of ‘common sense’, people need to be told that an N95 or better mask protects the wearer and the people around them. That the right HEPA filter can clear 90% of virus particles from an average room in 11 minutes.

    3. In order for this experiment to succeed, vaccines must hold against variants and be updated more quickly than variants escape them. Transmission must be reduced as much as possible, so people need to be educated about risks and how to mitigate them.

    2. There’s one proven way to live with this virus: . The UK government has decided for whatever reason that it’s more important to have open borders than it is to have freedoms at home, so it must be honest. It is undertaking an experiment.

    1. Can the people who’ve been consistently wrong about the pandemic stop steering policy and public opinion the wrong way and finally keep quiet?

Why is RIP London trending? Have people seriously forgotten that when Boris Johnson was mayor there was a riot that lasted a whole week - he also cut the fire fighters, gentrified huge parts of the city among so many other things.

The real story here is that had an allowance of £30k for redecoration but he couldn’t manage with that. How out of touch is that, when many households don’t earn that in a year? Shame on Boris, shame on those who voted for him.
