    Minister Dodds said today we should be trying to maximise inward tourism from Republic & Britain this summer. I agreed - I asked her to agree with me that the thing most likely to keep visitors away (other than Covid) was protest and more images like the ones of recent days.

    Deeply concerned by this incident. It is unimaginable to think what could've happened this evening if it wasn't for the quick action of the train driver who stopped the train before it reached the burning car on the track. If you know anything about this, please contact the PSNI.

    I've just been sent this video of a car on fire on the Derry to Coleraine railway line in Magilligan. The train got stopped just in time. The says they're currently on site. No further info.

    Having called for an EU-UK veterinary agreement months ago, to silence from London and initial rejection from the DUP, if it is now on the table - great.

    NEW Irl EU minister Thomas Byrne: it would "excellent" if there were an EU-UK "veterinary agreement" (UK following EU food standards). "It would be a big step for Britain. It would solve a lot of the problems that we are seeing play out in GB (GB/EU) as well s NI "

    Ach yer auld hole! NI is not in flames. It's a handful of protests. Shelves weren't empty. few 100 product lines missing out of avg 40-50k product lines per supermarket isn't empty & it was also b/c of Covid, seasonal availability & lock down. Satellite commentary at its worst!

    Northern Ireland is in flames because the EU has enforced non-tariff barriers on UK goods That led to shelves emptying in Belfast supermarkets, and gave the UDA and UDF a golden opportunity. Borders are trouble. Which is why the SNP needs answers on ours.

    Commentators should be more responsible than to repeat the same agitator propaganda that Irish political figures “talked up” the problems of land border violence. In 2018, the most senior police figures in both jurisdictions gave their opinions on it. Where they to be ignored?
