100 years ago today in 1918, President Wilson gave a speech before Congress in support of guaranteeing women the right to vote. He had to be pushed, prodded and encouraged to do this. It takes movements and motivations of others and in ourselves to cause change.

This article is a good read, and an important one. As a white woman who embraced feminisn early on, I realize that women's rights are human rights. We cannot seek justice for ourselves if in doing so, we subject others to injustice.

Just watched the RBG special on CNN - more perspective on epic battles. BUT, we r looking at LOSING ground that took 200 years to achieve. My granddaughters may have less control over their bodies. They aren’t safe at school. I’m nearly 63 & I’m pissed, Mr. Dowd.
