I used to make $30k a year selling $300 shoes to Bear Stearns goons right before they all lost their jobs in 2008. That's the closest I've been to the financial market. I have no clue wtf its all about.

It always felt like magical thinking mixed with weird game rules. I finally decided I need more investments that my 401k but I was just going for an index fund. Something I only learned about last year.
