Opened up Blender this weekend to check it out. Was immediately lost. Unfortunately every tutorial is basically "Hey folks, this is called the timeline... and these are called keyframes."
There are.. and I'd probably customize those when I get the handle on it. I don't use maya's default. I just don't know best practice for bringing in a rig and animating a new scene. Then I couldn't find why my textures weren't rendering properly. I'd really like to learn it tho

damn, I'll try to ask around and see if I can find any "discrete" learning tutorial stuff that skips over all the 101 things, I know gumroad and other small indie sites like that have a couple of those though

Thanks! Right now I'm just skipping around the basic tutorials. I'm not looking for lessons on extruding faces on a mesh or anything.
