  Sessions is more loyal to right-wing authoritarian ideals than Trump. Trump sees such ideals as useful only if they help Trump. There was an early schism in Nazism along these exact lines. Before war, Hitler purged Nazis with more loyalty to Nazi ideals than to him personally.
