Just online: my piece for on what Trump's war w/ DOJ means, & how the Don Jr. news will escalate it.

  2. Dammit, it's happening again. I know I should be doing something else, but I can't look away.

  3. I see OJ. (google it, millennials)

  4. Replying to

What are the career employees at DOJ supposed to think when POTUS attacks their mission and the AG and DAG won't stand up for them?

  5. That was pathetic from Sessions & Rosenstein. POTUS attacked the very mission of DOJ, and they have nothing to say. Might as well quit now.

  6. Replying to

Sarah Sanders also said it was "sad that she has chosen not to be transparent." So let's see what Don Jr. does.

  7. For when Don Jr. invevitably says he's not coming, don't forget what Trump said about Susan Rice not testifying.

  8. Spot on from on the perilous position the Justice Dept is now in, with no one to stand up for it.

  9. Another must-read column. While the rest of us chase the crisis of the day, he somehow always has his eye on the long game.

  10. Rosenstein and McCabe are supposed to be there too. All three attacked by POTUS tonight.

  11. This was all sadly predictable. Wrote this for last week predicting Trump would escalate his war on DOJ.

  12. Then he and Sessions need to make clear to POTUS immediately that if he doesn't retract his attacks on DOJ's independence, they'll resign.

  13. Why would Trump care whether Sessions recused himself or not unless he wanted him to quash the investigation? Unbelievable thing to admit.

  14. Sessions needs to give Trump an ultimatum: back off your threats to DOJ or he will resign. DOJ can't operate with this ax hanging over it.

  15. Trump is openly testing Congress - threatening to obstruct justice right out in the open for all to see.

  16. This is another unprecedented attack on DOJ's independence. The president doesn't get to decide what DOJ investigates. Full stop.

  17. Retweeted

I've never seen a DAG undermine the integrity of his own department this way.

  18. What is he doing? The DAG is supposed to defend the integrity and the work of the Department's employees. This is outrageous.

  19. So Rosenstein will talk about the Russia probe to Fox but won't answer questions on it from DOJ reporters (today) or Congress (last month)?
