Also worth pointing out that Yahoo has been putting more resources into the e2e project than Google. Yahoo.

Nothing against Yahoo. The people working on this project at Yahoo are amazing. But it's like the US needing military aid from Canada.

If I was a reporter who had ever said anything nice about Google e2e I'd get them on the phone and ask them what headcount they have on it.
