I know that there is no "typical" mental health struggle, and therefore my experience is not that of everybody But i also know that my anxiety and depression has actually got quite a bit better whilst in lockdown. Its the old world that almost killed me
-
Yes. During this lockdown I’ve been properly content, relaxed and happy for the very first time in my adult life. There’s something not right about that

Mental health would improve dramatically in the workplace if employers weren’t so resistant to the idea of working from home.

Maybe business will see that WFH can actually work for them as well, reduced footprint etc. The company I work for were all for WFH before and are now looking to make it more sustainable for more of its employees .i am not missing my hour commute

TBH the most stressful part for me personally has been thoughts of the reopening, and now it’s beginning.

-
Completely agree. I feel depressed at the thought of it.

We also need to stop pretending that people were receiving adequate care and concern and support for their mental health challenges before this, and that some communities get more than others, depending on how they're perceived.

Exactly. And the noise pollution too. It's great to actually be able to hear birdsong through the window for the first time in about 40 years.
-
The bird song is astounding. I've always loved it, but it's like it's been turned up to 11. I'm already in mourning when i can't hear it so clearly again. There have been so many more in our garden too - delightful
