big breakthrough therapy gave was that staying in anger was a way of not accepting sadness - since anger arises from a feeling that things should change. We don’t get angry at hurricanes. So depending on your state I guess - sob or scream

Alternatively, sadness can be a way of not confronting things you should actually change, or boundaries you should actually enforce. Was just writing about this today.

One way of working with anger, is instead of focusing on who you are mad at, try turning your attention to how they have hurt you, or how you are hurting from the encounter. Find the core feelings. That may be enough to start the tears flowing and have you join the
#sobsquad. -
I feel like this is often my default. I turn inwards towards loss. But then, I end up repressing legit anger I have outwards

there is a strong relationship between these two emotions, which i explore a bit in my thread. i yell more often than i sob, for sure- lots of pillow screaming, shower yelling, grunting while meditating, shoulder squaring, etc etc etc. really helpful
