If FL is not willing to assist energy production for the USA, then the USA should prohibit the transport of petroleum products and gas into Florida from the energy-producers. Offshore drilling is safe and the rigs are a heck of lot better looking than some of your beach towns.

That's a real defeatist attitude by the senator. Send the permanent ban to the Senate and put them on the record. They can send a 5-year bill back to the house.
