    New version of the SQL Server PowerShell module available at . It is the same as the preview version that went out early this month, with a few fixes and a couple of improvements (thanks for the suggestions).

    I just pushed out a new (prerelease) version of the SQLServer PowerShell module at . Surprise, surprise! If you are on PowerShell 6.2.0 (also preview), you'll be able to run Invoke-Sqlcmd (basic functionality). Enjoy!

    A new version of the SQLServer module is not available on the PSGallery: It's worth pointing out the "minor" upgrade (21.0 -> 21.1) because of the upgrade of SMO to v150.

    And, finally, the same module is available on the official PSGallery (). It's just in the new "preview" version, so you'd nee the usual stuff to get it: an updated PowerShellGet module and the -AllowPrerelease switch.

    SQL Server tools are using some really cool tech from Microsoft Research. It makes complex tasks seem really simple and magical. We'll have more features leveraging Programming Synthesis by Example (PROSE) in the next few months, stay tuned!
