What do reviewer #2 and open science have in common? They’ll both ask you for effect sizes! And we've got you covered :) Here is an example of computing and reporting effect sizes using fieldtrip and cluster-based permutations tests ()

First MNELAB release in 2020 (0.5.3) - conda users on macOS should now have a fully working GUI. Also, hi-res icons, more detailed command history, and hopefully more reliably multiprocessing. Thanks for the conda and multiprocessing fixes!

I especially recommend early career researchers such as doctoral candidates or post-docs to showcase their work and ideas at . You will rarely get a wider audience, reaching outside academia. Did we mention that happens during ?

Looking for a Journal included in the "Computer Science" Subject Area in Scimago, publishing EEG related stuff, submission to 1st decision <4 weeks and accepting single PDF for a new submission. Suggestions are very welcome. 🙃

Does anyone have an argument in support of a single-blind review process (in terms of reviewer/authors identities) instead of double-blind? I can't see how anything outweighs the potential bias of knowing whose work you're reviewing.

I have always read the suggestion to use the first "artifacts-free" epochs, but was this effect ever investigated in detail?

The previous plot shows the p-values for different combinations of epochs (all combs with 4 out of 12). X-axis is organized as follows: the left side includes the last epochs in time (9:12) and the right side includes first epochs in time (1:5).

Assume you have rs EEGs from N subjs in 2 conds (EC/EO). You may expect to find diff between conds even using very simple ft (mean alpha power). Now, you segment your long EEGs into epochs and perform the analysis on X "good epochs". But how much this selection impact the diff?
