One of the biggest benefits of networking is increasing the odds of knowing the attorney on the other side of the table. Nothing makes me happier than coming into the office in the morning and seeing a contract in my inbox with a familiar attorney's name on the redlines.
That being said, this can sentiment can also go the complete opposite way, but far and away I've found attorneys in games are more reasonable and easier to work with than in other fields.
I’d also like to correct myself. My daily vat of iced coffee, large enough to drown myself in, makes me happier than any amount of familiar attorneys in my inbox.
