If you've got an afternoon to get away, La Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur is some nice easy hiking and some great street food. Also, if you're new to it, having some mate to start your day is the best. I still buy kilos of it - way better than coffee imo.
La Boca is a great neighborhood to visit, alfajores, gotta make sure you get a Milanesa (depending on where you're at, El Club De La Milanesa is aite), and get some Freddo ice cream (seriously - best ice cream ever), and smuggle home as much dulce de leche as humanly possible.
