      Issue here is bigger, though. Forget the specifics of this claim. Google does have this power. The concern is real.

      What is the mechanism to go beyond "trust us" given how consequential auto-complete is? That should be the discussion.

      nuanced, but I'd say Google's influence derives from trust. To violate that trust is to work against our own interests.
