I have no doubt of that, but how the accuracy of the underlying data -- designed for billing, not health care per se -- can be guaranteed strikes me as problematic at best. Significant health and privacy concerns.

As we know, it's not uncommon for tests to be billed to MC that never took place. Patients aren't even usually aware of this. If such tests are assumed to be real for later health decisions, that's a recipe for serious problems. Just one example.
