Just gorgeous. Even though this is in Japan, it still makes me a little homesick for the hills in Kentucky where I grew up.https://twitter.com/ddoniolvalcroze/status/1084261461487104000 …

Where about in Kentucky? I grew up in New Albany, Indiana, right across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky

The entire strip through Kentucky, West Virginia, and NC is really beautiful. Used to climb down that way and always loved being atop the ridges and looking around.

Years ago, my kids always looked forward to the end of June here in Lexington to taking a mason jar out and catching them. Our neighbor was an etymologist and told us they have different blink rates per species, and more than 50 species!

That's an amazing photo and I get that. I love NV, but I do miss little things like fireflies on a warm breezy summer night.

We lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, across the Ohio River from Kentucky, and my parents loved taking hours long drives through the Kentucky Country side, looking at the bluegrass fields, and the rolling hills. Some happy memories there.
