The World Bank offered to cut an $80 million check to modernize Brazil's National Museum, on condition it reset institutional governance through a private nonprofit. The Federal University that controls the museum said no, forfeiting the money. That was more than 20 years ago.

Section 232 of the Trade Act is a vital tool when we have a national security threat but it is being misused. The editorial board supports my bipartisan Trade Security Act which will ensure this tool is reserved for genuine national security threats

So when Trump talks about Canada's 270% & 300% dairy tariffs what he really covers is: 1. Butter and dairy spreads (274.5%-313.5%) 2. Cream and cream powder (292.5%-295.5%) 3. Ice cream (267.5%-277%) 4. Diafiltered milk (270%) And they apply only once U.S. fills the annual quota

A very good read from setting out where we are in the trade war, and how we got here. Fighting on all fronts undermines the legitimate grievances of the US & the West against China.
