IL Gov is encouraging retired healthcare professionals to come out of retirement to help and expediting lic. renewals for them and there’s talk of reopening three hospitals that were shuttered in the last 2 years since they can be rehabbed quickly. I feel lucky to be in IL rn.
NY did the same, but my question is, since retired usually = over 65, aren’t we asking people at high risk to put themselves in harm’s way?
oh man this is brilliant. i had just read elsewhere that (while it seems ok in theory) bringing in retired folks would be a terrible idea if they are generally older & thus more at risk. but live-streaming instruction? shit, that’s perfect. please, can somebody get on this? ASAP?
