Tomorrow is going to be terrifying for those of us who rely on Medicaid and for those who love us. On this night before Trump unveils his strategy to destroy Medicaid, I want to remind you that no matter what they announce in the morning we keep fighting.

I wasn't sure what I would do to stay alive if we lost that vote. But because of our partners and friends and allies and because of YOU, we didn't. We showed them just how hard we will fight to defend Medicaid. We will fight as if our lives depend on it... ...because they do.

Now is not the time for false modesty: in my _expert opinion_ there is no legal avenue open to them that will allow them to destroy Medicaid before Inauguration Day if we fight them with everything we have. We WILL fight them with everything we have.

I’m just seeing this. I had MAJOR problems with Medicaid recently and lost everything, going cold turkey off health sustaining meds, and wondered why. Did more research on it and I’m guessing this is why?? Do they just not care about us???

They care about us in the sense that they see our existence as a problem to be solved. But there are people who do care. We fought, we are fighting, we will fight.

I’ll be at a suddenly-necessary mammogram. I already rely on the program. I’m not sure what we’re going to do except go forward as long as we’re allowed. I don’t survive otherwise.

I'm terrified. I'm having a nodule biopsy tomorrow. If it's what we think I'll need surgery. Medicaid and Medicare would pay. If Medicaid doesn't i don't have that $. And if they cut disability benefits i won't even be able to keep my inherited condo. The fees are 1/2 my check.
