    The non-root user default may require some retooling. It will be interesting to see how this works with customized installs. Kudos for bringing this to fruition!

    Kali 2020.1 is up for download! Big changes yet again, with non-root user by default, a single installer image for multiple desktop enviroments, updates to themes, and more! Not to mention Rootless NetHunter!

    And if you're not sure how to go about finding the answer yourself, consider asking your mentor what resources they would consult or how they would conduct a search for the information instead of just asking for the answer. Learning how to find information is paramount!

    Pro tip in honor of New Year's resolutions: The infosec community is AWESOME and truly supportive when it comes to being helpful! -However- Exhausting available resources before asking for help is a highly respected practice. Display initiative. Google it. Do your research. 💖

    To all my Austin peeps, hit Ted up if you're interested in making this happen. While there are some great groups down there already, there's always room for more (in terms of both quantity and diversity). Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

    I'm thinking of starting an Austin-based security meetup group. Just gauging interest for now. Will plan later. Anybody would be welcome, even if you don't work in IT or security but want to learn. DM me if you're interested.
