    Also way back in 2018 when I created this, Ana on the Edge only had 23 chapters! Its final version has 35 (plus a prologue and epilogue). Revision is magic! 😀

    I had a great time today with graduate students in ’s Creating Compelling Characters class. During my talk, I mentioned some outlining methods I tried for Ana on the Edge. Just found my emotional arcs chart. There are so many ways to construct a novel!

    I’m almost done drafting my latest WIP (Camp QUILTBAG* with !) so I’ve got revision on my mind. It’s also been 6 weeks since I got my new skates. Countless tweaks later, they’re finally feeling good. So don’t worry if your 1st draft isn’t perfect. Revision fixes 😊

    Behold, a sit spin and some jumps. The jumps just felt okayish today. I’m also in the thick of drafting a story (hardest part of the process for me) so reminding myself to focus on consistency over perfection. I’m showing up with my writing and skating: that’s what matters 😊
