    Today I learned when your server reports there's no free space available, it doesn't mean the disk is 'full', per se. See, there are these things called inodes, and the server only has a finite amount of them. So when you have a millions of teeny-tiny files, shit will break.

    At my first coding job, for $6/h, I got tasked with an impossible bug. Mentor told me to go to every programmer in the house and ask for help. I was terrified. But I did it and eventually figured it out. I learned very early software is a people problem, not a computer problem.

    Living in the country, I sometimes take my laptop and go work in a bar where guests own tractors and smell of cows. Such a refreshing departure from the tech scene. "What kind of a computer is this? I heard computers pay well?" "Another spritzer to the computer guy over there!"

    Visited abandoned Haludovo Hotel in Croatia. What a history! founder invested in it heavily in 70s, making it the most lavish, extravagant place in Yugoslavia. Like many other things, it went bust due to privatization transitions in communist party countries, and war.

    Growth of last 4 years of consistent improvements at . No crazy hours, plenty of vacation, no VCs, no hustle bro culture. Just a small dedicated team with no office, listening to users and solving their problems.
