    Today I learned when your server reports there's no free space available, it doesn't mean the disk is 'full', per se. See, there are these things called inodes, and the server only has a finite amount of them. So when you have a millions of teeny-tiny files, shit will break.

    New concrete sculpture finished. This time something to be mounted on the wall. A study on using different aggregate mixtures, pigments and curing processes. To prevent cracking, the back is reinforced with fiberglass. Weighs more than a small child.

    At my first coding job, for $6/h, I got tasked with an impossible bug. Mentor told me to go to every programmer in the house and ask for help. I was terrified. But I did it and eventually figured it out. I learned very early software is a people problem, not a computer problem.

    Visited abandoned Haludovo Hotel in Croatia. What a history! founder invested in it heavily in 70s, making it the most lavish, extravagant place in Yugoslavia. Like many other things, it went bust due to privatization transitions in communist party countries, and war.

    Growth of last 4 years of consistent improvements at . No crazy hours, plenty of vacation, no VCs, no hustle bro culture. Just a small dedicated team with no office, listening to users and solving their problems.

    Stoicism changed my life for the better as well, tremendously. It’s fascinating how ancient Greeks formed a time-capsule philosophy to chart a path out of the seemingly unescapable malaise of today’s society.
