Cannot wait to read this, teach it, & incorporate it into my work. "the goal would be to abolish criminal courts as systems of coercion, violence, & exploitation, & to replace them w/ other social institutions, such as community-based restorative justice & peacemaking programs"

Gearing up to teach 's new book, Ballad of the Bullet (). It is an incredible study of young men in Chicago in the drill scene, beautifully written. It also goes beyond the drillers to show the whole ecological system. 🧵
