Really interesting talk. At the end you mention the trade offs between declaring the space initially vs. pushing each element. Would you be able to declare the space initially and then use something like slice to create a copy and get the best of both worlds?
holey.slice(0) or http://Array.prototype.slice.call (holey) return holey arrays. You can use `Array.from(holey)` to create a packed array. There’s a one-time cost to this, of course, but it might be worth the later optimizations.
