So torn on whether I should use Node's "experimental" ES6 modules and .mjs in my upcoming courses backend. Think it’s gonna change? Should I use it?

I really hate this extension. Should have been .esm or even .jsm. It's an "ECMAScript Module" or "JavaScript Module" - NOT "Module JavaScript"... I cannot unread "Michael Jackson"

Why not instead introduce a header in the *.js file? A new extension is maybe a overkill?

You are about 2 years worth of blog posts and meetings behind with these suggestions :) There are some good articles explaining all the “why nots”
