I never thought about it, but HTML would still work if closing tags weren’t named:

Hello</></>
How would that work?
in the XML sense would create an empty
element.

I was getting ahead of myself. Auto-closing and singleton tags such as and
should work. But I wouldn’t want to take the risk.

It isn't ambiguous if `</>` is defined to close only tags with required closing. Would mean `` never is affected by `</>`
