The official German spelling rules got an update yesterday. http://www.rechtschreibrat.com/DOX/rfdr_PM_2017-06-29_Aktualisierung_Regelwerk.pdf … ß is now capitalized as “ẞ” instead of “SS”.

Yep, but I guess the SS is trained over years and so most will keep it. Maybe a slow change in the next decades.
