I wrote a new blog post! LCH colors in CSS: What, why, and how? http://lea.verou.me/2020/04/lch-colors-in-css-what-why-and-how/ … Describes what LCH colors are, why they're exciting, and releases an LCH color picker tool I made to visualize!pic.twitter.com/T6nD8yUQHe

Hey Lea, I noticed you’re using the legacy hsl() syntax in the examples here: http://lea.verou.me/#:~:text=A%20very%20illustrative%20example%20is%20the%20following … Was this an intentional choice, or is this just an old example? (I’m asking because we’re considering to update the @ChromeDevTools color picker to produce the modern syntax.)

OMG that hash syntax is amazing!! Since when does it work? I recall discussions about this but thought it never materialized! How long has it been supported for? Who else supports it?

Is there a right-click-menu action planned to allow everyday users to discover this feature?

We plan on evaluating the feature with a browser extension, and then decide on our next steps. The extension will add a right-click menu, so the flow will be the same.https://twitter.com/tomayac/status/1252631036078575617 …

I have a Chrome extension ready-ish that will be released properly on the Chrome Web Store in the not too distant future (some things need to get sorted first). Meanwhile, you can test it in developer mode: https://github.com/tomayac/link-to-text-fragment ….
