NEGATIVE SQUARED LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A
Unicode: U+1F170, UTF-8: F0 9F 85 B0
🅐
NEGATIVE CIRCLED LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A
Unicode: U+1F150, UTF-8: F0 9F 85 90
Assuming screen readers pronounce some form of the Unicode character names, that seems fine to me?

Yes, it may pronounce it as it does with emojis. Not sure if it uses the canonical unicode name. For the ✓ it would be fine ("CHECK MARK"), but pronouncing ✗ could be awkward ("BALLOT X").
