Since you can put CSS in an SVG, would a `prefers-color-scheme: dark` media query be enough for dark mode support?
Test case: https://numerous-sulfur.glitch.me The media query is ignored.
@jaffathecake had an interesting write-up on how media queries behave in SVG across browsers: https://jakearchibald.com/2016/svg-media-queries/ … This behavior seems to follow from that.

@tomayac found that the media query *does* work based on the operating system-level preference. Emulating the media query with DevTools doesn’t yet affect this new scenario, though (which is what I was hitting).https://twitter.com/tomayac/status/1197067213926227968 …
Chrome now accepts SVG favicons (https://crbug.com/294179#c73 ), which means you can style your icon with inline `prefers-color-scheme` and you'll get two icons for the price of one!

Yeah, also a manual reload is required; the favicon doesn't automatically refresh on color scheme change as the rest of the page does.
