@mathias hey there! wondering if you've ever had experiences with strings containing unicode characters and String.startsWith(), that end in a happy way?
Are you hitting any particular problem? startsWith works with Unicode. Just don’t do anything weird, like pass a high surrogate to it

String comparison with a user input string vs. other value. They seem to use different version glyphs, so have tried different normalization forms, rote String.replace(), and shaking my fist at a cloud in the sky. It's interesting, some glyphs don't even appear the same, eg ț / ţ
