Right, but introducing this syntax means devs and package owners are much more likely to use it liberally, restricting the openness and flexibility of JS. They might not even consider that people like to hack or modify properties on various libraries.
Other than hiding the property, is there any other advantage to using this? Does it increase performance in some way perhaps?
