1. prefer `async`/`await` over hand-written promise code
2. prefer native promises over userland implementations

Mathias Bynens added,
I wonder how many apps end up shipping promises due to minifiers not supporting async/await syntax
i wonder how many apps do not end up babelifying everything to ie11 version of the code. :(
Hopefully folks use @babel/preset-env to prevent this kind of issue!
That won't help if IE11 is a requirement, or am i missing something big about preset-env?
You can make multiple builds with differerent browser support. Seehttps://babeljs.io/docs/en/babel-preset-env#targetsesmodules …
Looks like i cannot find the way to make the multiple builds. Also how do i serve them then to the right browsers? If someone has an example please instruct me.
I'm guessing it uses babel-minify? /cc @left_pad
Babel minify, terser, or closure compiler can minify es20xx code. Example for Babel configuration:https://github.com/kristoferbaxter/preset-env-modules …
