It is indeed a lot of work. But you can't buckle up and quit because you envision all the work ahead.
It's just so demoralizing loving the idea of your large #gamedev project but envisioning all the work causing you to 'buckle' and quit.

I find it helpful to instead look back at all the work you have already done and say "I've gotten this far, there's no going back now."
