The way I see it, Super Mario Maker may not be a powerful game design tool, but it does help players experiment with level design theory.

It's no different than other level creator games like LittleBigPlanet. I kinda wish you can make slopes in Super Mario Maker though.

@matchristian Basically you're stuck to putting blocks on a grid. Can't make any sloped platforms to slide on or add variation to lands. -
