I guess that's kind of the annoyance with console cycles, that they're generally remembered based on their lifetime of releases or issues or whatever, but when they're first announced it's 'BEST/WORST EVAR'.

Man I hate when all these ‘next gen winner/loser’ hot takes based on marketing flood the internet.

Maybe I'm just cynical and too annoyed by trending hot takes on Twitter, but it's a literal example of judging a book by it's cover. And I'd wager half the people hot-taking are doing so based SOLELY on announced price point and not features, or lack thereof.
