Ha. Well, you'll find as you continue the series that Jordan tends to cram key plot twists and events into the last 50 pages or so of each book. I guess he needed the other 950 or so pages of each 1K page book to talk incessantly about all the 100s of characters... :P
I’ve heard the characters get excessive especially around Book 3; even the end of 1 he’s tossing in random names that I feel like won’t be referred to again. For a guy who likes explaining every same-y inn in detail, I would have preferred a paragraph about the book’s namesake.
