I've been working on some AI stuff at home with the PS1 prototype. Currently the AI randomly patrols between specified points, reacts to the sound of nearby thrown objects (alerted), and chases the player if seen. Goes back to patrolling if it loses the player/alert ends.pic.twitter.com/5ay4PMi1aI
I'm not entirely happy with it yet, but it's definitely the most complex AI I've written myself so I'm somewhat happy with it in that respect. It's mostly just thinking up a behavior, applying it, and tweaking it to look relatively normal.
