I’m sure AAA has this too on the flip side and that it’s just a per dev thing. But sometimes I feel like it’s easier for people to criticize the big guys and glorify the small guys without question.

Hot take: I love indie game devs, but sometimes indies can be pretty pretentious about indie culture. Sometimes, there are indie voices trashing AAA when their own work/practices might be as criticizable. Or a ‘better than thou’ attitude toward AAA because of being indie.

Most AAA studios started as indies anyway. Kinda silly when you think of it like that. Games are games and devs are devs. I think humans love to label things or put themselves in boxes to feel special or different.
