As a newbie who is just entering the industry, what’s an acceptable “home assignment” from a prospective employer? Is there a normal order of protocol? Interview first then assignment? @CodeNewbies @TheBeginnerDev @hamontjs

I’ve mostly seen it go as 1. Phone interview 2. Home assignment, usually to fix a small bug in existing example app or write something like a todo list type of thing 3. On site interview
I'd second this reply as a common scenario. Depending on the studio you might have another interview as part of 2. Also depending on the position the assignment goals may change (i.e. gameplay programmer may need to add a new feature, technical may write a new mock integration)
