What are games you've played over long periods (years) of your life? Games you play on the side while you grind on your "backlog"?

I haven’t played it an overly large amount of time, but WoW is one that pops up usually once a year to get some play time in. I’ve always desired to have that game I play for years and years and can’t get enough of; only a few favorites fit that bill though.
Even then I only periodically return to them, it’s not like a thing I’m always playing for a long period.
