I wish I knew what my problem with game development was. It feels like I can't just stick to a project, I have so many great prototypes but so few fully released games. I get really excited about projects and ideas and then whip them up as a proto, and then just get "bored".
And it's not a boredom of the idea as much as it feels like me telling myself 'why would anyone ever want to buy this when there's X, Y, and Z they could buy??'. I feel like the indie dev scene kind of promotes that, telling you your game isn't ever good/unique enough.
But I won't blame this on industry suggestions, I know it's my fault I don't see games to completion. It's just frustrating, and even my attempts at 'small games' fail; yet I complete jam games constantly. TBH, I wish I was better at completing full games, instead of jamming.
