So apparently Bitbucket + Sourcetree is just completely broke now? Logging in seems pretty impossible even after following several "fixes". Wasn't the point of Atlassian taking everything over to make it all work together easily?

Until recently, my job title was "Support Engineer" You'd be surprised at how many different ways things can magically get cocked up.
Apparently the issue was Sourcetree showed that it was up to date, but if I tried to install updated GIT or 'Check For Updates' it failed saying the new version of Sourcetree was invalid. So I downloaded a copy and installed the new version, voila it works.
