My answer feels very personal to me: I feel like I need to build many different types of games to learn different "basics" before I invest a lot of time into one idea.
That's what I was thinking when I tweeted! The differences in learning and progressing your skills across one long term project or multiple smaller projects. I think there are benefits and differences to each!

If you had a roadblock in a small project it's easy to nip it in the bud or change scope. But if you had a roadblock in a large project you have a lot more to consider
