Finished Far Cry 5; I liked it a lot, but agree the ending is terribly disappointing and even with this being the only real numbered Far Cry I’ve played the mission structure was quickly overly repetitive.

It’s like they’ve boiled down the formula for these games but haven’t ‘hidden’ them behind anything so it’s immediately obvious your objective is 1 of 4 types of things.

Maybe it’s the turnover of the games in the series, and the fact the design can be applied to dozens of scenarios without needing to be specific to any of them. It feels like there’s barely any ‘flavor’ layered onto the core bones of the series.

I really enjoyed my time getting the Far Cry 5 plat! I probably have a higher tolerance for the repetition as I've played through the five previous entries and enjoyed those too, but I love Far Cry's progression and the tools it gives you to take out the many enemy encampments.

I think I used the same 2-3 weapons the entire game to take out everything
