I can see that being a good follow-up! I actually way prefer colourful games, but I end up falling back on the gritty ones because they tend to favour the mechanics I like. Off the top of my head, Bioshock Infinite and Subnautica are two games I can think off that take a-

genre traditionally dominated by games with grimy and dark palettes, and given them a bright and eccentric spin. That's definitely my preferred style.
