Yeah, you can't even transfer the Pokemon from Go until the end of the game. It's basically Red/Blue remade. Instead of fighting Pokemon though, you are catching them. But you do have battles with Gym Leaders/other NPCs in the game.

Hm, interesting. I remember the last one I got for 3DS I barely played so I’ll have to think about whether I’d play this one.
