I've heard good things and it looks like Amazon finally has some in stock so.... *bought*
Actually the previous project I started that this one is 'spiritually successing' was based on the idea that in Silent Hill the 'Otherworld' isn't controlled, it just happens. I wondered what would happen if controlling that was a gameplay mechanic given to the player.

That would be a neat thing to use in a panic situation, the player trying to escape something needs to perform a series of actions vs. the instinctual running away.

Exactly; my original game had the player 'knocking' on doors in combinations to change what room it opened to. So in a chase they could knock a 'safe zone code' and their safe room would appear or something.
